My name is Karina and I have a background in children’s publishing, illustration, design and photography.
The name Big1Chicken comes from my daughter being gifted a giant chick plushie when they were just over a year old and naming it big one chicken!
My full time job is working alongside children that need a bit of extra help at a local school. In my spare time I spend a lot of it drawing on my trusty ipad.
I've always loved drawing and often find myself doodling on everything! After making a few commissions for friends and family I was encouraged to set up my own store...
I live along the south coast in colourful Brighton (UK) with my partner and fluffy Bichon, Alfie.
My inspirations are Charles M. Schulz (Peanuts), Tove Jansson, Frida Khalo, Magda Archer, Milton Glaser, Saul Bass, David Bowie and Andy Warhol.
